Metric Design: Design In-Kind Sponsor
Care for Kids by Wiegers inc. has been raising money for local children’s charities since 2009, the primary beneficiary of which remains Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. To date, we have raised over $2 MILLION to support the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital by funding a Pediatric Surgical Suite, the Prairie Dog Pod outpatient area, and with the minimum target of $600,000 raised by the Rock & Raise event will help establish another soon-to-be-announced exciting and important initiative. It’s a significant but critically important goal that we are committed to achieving. Seeing the community unite in support of Care for Kids by Wiegers Inc. helps to provide access and enhanced healthcare while positively impacting the lives of present and future generations of Saskatchewan children and their families. We are thrilled to recognize and show appreciation for Metric Design as they generously step up as In-kind Design sponsors of our 2025 event!
Metric Design was created in 2000 when Tamara Bowman, noticed a disconnect in the industry. Her ambition is to produce the best overall experience for her clients who feel challenged by the products available, the running about to make the selections and the friction between suppliers, sub-trades, designers and contractors.
So started Tamara's career in interior design. She shifted to providing the role of designer and project manager, which completely changed her clients' experience, and Metric Design was started.
Today the team is six people and they believe
PARTNERSHIP + GROWTH + LIFESTYLE + CREATIVITY + COMMUNITY +
POSITIVITY + QUALITY + FUN
They believe in being involved in the community, supporting their industry, and creating a culture that is contagious.
Testimonials from Metric Design Clients:
“When I decided to move from my family home to a riverfront condo, I loved the gorgeous views but the aesthetics were dated, the layout was restrictive and did not take advantage of the views. I very much wanted to personalize the space to my interests and make it a beautiful new home for myself and my daughter. I could not quite put my finger on exactly what changes to make.
After doing my research, I reached out to Metric Design.
Although I appreciate design, I knew I needed a professional team to make it happen. The golden ticket for me was Metric’s full service offering where they encapsulate the design, project management and construction into one project which gave me peace of mind that my best interest was being managed from start to finish. Additionally, as my personal time is extremely valuable, I didn’t have the time or the energy to handle all of the details. So working with Metric relieved me of the stress and guesswork, while allowing me to visualize the ultimate space I was after. They created a far more functional floor plan, and the overall look is striking. I now have a place that feels like home, and as I love to entertain, the design and details have given me the incredible “wow-factor” that I was looking for. This condo is now my retreat as I feel it was made for me.”

Care for Kids by Wiegers Inc.'s next epic fundraising event will be Rock & Raise in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on May 24th, 2025, and it promises to be every concertgoer's dream! Imagine a night where the spirit of Woodstock collides with the energy of Coachella, intertwining with the magic of Glastonbury and the wild vibes of Lollapalooza! After all, our previous event, Obseussed, skyrocketed the bar for fundraising events in Saskatoon with the most lavish décor, over-the-top costumes, delectable themed eats and drinks, and the most wildly fun entertainment that Saskatoon had ever seen, but Rock & Raise will turn the music up even higher!
It will be a night to remember like never before!
But as incredible an evening as Rock & Raise will be, the motivation for it is paramount and critical.
Children in Saskatchewan and their families went far too long without a dedicated pediatric hospital until Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital finally opened its doors in September 2019. The Hospital was, and will always be, a labour of love that came together after almost three decades of very hard work, fundraising, and dedication by the good people at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, countless volunteers, sponsors, and many others. The cost to build the Hospital was astronomical but the ongoing costs to keep it operational and modern are, and will continue to be, significant. Wiegers Financial & Benefits launched its in-house charity Care for Kids by Wiegers Inc. in 2009 to raise money for local children’s charities.
To date, we have raised more than $1,900,000 to support the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital by funding a Pediatric Surgical Suite, the Prairie Dog Pod outpatient area, and with the minimum target of $600,000 raised by the Rock & Raise event will help establish another soon-to-be-announced exciting and important initiative. It’s a significant but critically important goal that we are committed to achieving. Seeing the community unite in support of Care for Kids by Wiegers Inc. helps to provide access and enhanced healthcare while positively impacting the lives of present and future generations of Saskatchewan children and their families.
Please join us!
We want to take this opportunity to thank Levis Tech for stepping up as our 2025 Care For Kids Event Website sponsor!
